Called 5x today. Decided to play along. Foreign male voice reading from a script offered free money to go to school. Does not have to be paid back. Gave questions I’d have to answer in an email( they had my wife’s name and email addy). I gave fictitious answers to string him along ( he asked my highest level if school and date of graduation. I said PhD and 1906. He said fine. IDIOT. I accused him if a pigeon drop scam which he refuted. TOTALLY FAKE. An unsophisticated scam.
The caller called again (4th time today) with a male voice. I answered with my wife’s name and the foreign accented voice read from a script offering money..... I let it go as far as I could take it and terminated the call. It sounded like an electronic version of the pigeon drop scam. The area code was fro the Savannah Ga region.
Caller called 3x this morning and asked for my wife. The voice and accent were not native to the USA. When I answered that she was asleep, they hung up with no further interaction. No more info to relate. May have called a fourth time as I wrote this review. Three prior calls were male voices, the fourth was a young female voice.
Does anybody else getting calls from this number? It called me just few minutes ago 9/30/2020. I didn't answer because I didnt hear it and now I think it is not good idea to call back.
