Call from Ecore Healthcare on behalf of Aetna that requested service not approved. Gave my full name. But why did not give the name of my Doctor? Must be a scam.
It left a message into my answer machine. It claimed calling from X (can't hear clearly what name exactly) Healthcare with Aetna insurance for X (first name) Miller. It said some kind of medical procedure approval and authorization for services requested by doctor. However, I have never been to this X healthcare with Aetna insurance. Plus, I'm not the person who name Miller. This is not my first time to receive this similar calls with different name of healthcare, insurance, and the person who tring to reach. Some comments say this is a scam, some say it's not. I think the best practice is calling your health care provider and insurance company from their official contact numbers, (bill statement, website, or provider card) never using the number from the voicemail. Said it was evicore on behalf of aetna (i dont have aetna) for authorization for a procedure from my doctor has been authorized. I have no procedures requested or pending according to my doctor. So this is spam. I don't see how they can get away with stuff like this. I had already had this number blocked but they were able to leave a message on my voicemail. Only thing I can do is report it as spam again.

I received a call 10/27/23 approx. 11:45am. I answered the call and the caller hung up with out saying anything. I believe this was a spam call after reading other reports.

I received this voice mail twice so far. 1st, I'm not Karen Miller, with no health insurance, and no medical procedure to do. 2nd, last time the call said procedure is denied and this time says approved. I can't 100% sure this is a spam call, maybe it's right person with wrong number. Suggestion to everyone, if you think any strange (or cold) call is really for you, never ever call back this 1-888 number or from the caller ID, always search and call directly to the official phone number from your reliable source, such as official websites, insurance card, doctor office, etc. Hope this help!
