Similar with many comments, I received this voice mail and said calling from Epicore (possible this name) and my medical procedure has been denied. Both of my doctor and I will receive a letter and call back this 1-888 number if needed. The voice mail mentioned a person's name which is not me. Also, I don't have any medical insurance and procedure underway. Therefore, this is either calling to the wrong person or spam call. Suggestion to everyone, if you think any strange (or cold) call is really for you, never ever call back this 1-888 number or from the caller ID, always search and call directly to the official phone number from your reliable source, such as official websites, insurance card, etc. Hope this help!
Call today, 9/12/23 stating they are from Epicore and calling on behave of ............... static....... then continued with the standard medical approval has been confirmed for your "upcoming medical testing" and that we will received a letter with confirmation soon. JUNK call.
This person called and said a medical procedure was NOT going to be covered and that my doctor and I would be recieving a letter about it. Called our medical insurance company and evidently this number is NOT in their system and its a SCAM. ?????
this call uses urgency medical ploy to get information and it is hard for seniors to understand very dangerous
Spoke with someone from "Epicore". Was told that I needed to contact my doctor about a prior authorization for medical tests. They would not give me the name of a doctor or what test t was for. Supposed to be getting a letter in the mail. Called my doctor. They've never heard of this company. Nor have they requested a prior for any test. This number is a scam.
This call is from a division of Aetna. It is valid. It's from their approval department letting me know an MRI was approved and all the information needed to make the appointment. And that it will be mailed to me.
Avicore calling on behalf of Aetna saying a procedure was approved.

I did bit believe a cotton Picken word that they said I think that they were tiring to get information out of me. Say that they claim that they were from Aetna. They ask me such a stupid question if this number belong to me and if this is my. I did not know that it was a scammer till i got off of the phone with then. I sort of felt it was a scam because I felt that they was going to start to ask me personal questions, because they said is this my name they said and is this the best phone number to contact me, i just laid the phone down, So I feel that the gov/ should look into this number 888-7852471.

I received a call today 2/21/2022, the recording said they were calling from EVICORE Healthcare about a procedure requested by my doctor, the recording didn't mention the Doctors name or which procedure that was approved and will expire in April of this year if I don't return their call. I'm suppose to receive something in the mail. The number shown 888-785-2471 is listed to a Brian Gillman in Gilbert Az., why would I be getting a call listed under a persons name I don't know talking about a medical procedure when I don't live in Arizona?
Regarding my last report today. It is NOT A SCAM. I received a phone call from the hospital canceling procedure due to denial of service from BC/BS.
Message on answering machine. Claimed to be Evicore representing BC/BS with a denial of a medical procedure. No Doctor, no time, no date, no procedure mentioned. Requested a call-back at 888-785-2471.
